The validity of the Exposition issues was extended into
March 1898.
GUATEMALA CITY to GERMANY 1897 1c Exposition postal card with 1c x 2 Exposition
issues and 3 x 1c on 5c Surcharges,
all tied with “8 OCT 1898” octagonal postmark.
The Exposition issues no longer valid at this date
hence the apparent double payment.
