"7R" rating stamped in Cadiz.


Ca 1773:  Addressed  to MADRID
PIEDRAGORDA marking in dark red alongside NUEVA / ESPAÑA 
in black. Received Madrid with "N.7" (November 7) date stamp.

"N.7" date stamp was used in Madrid from  1762 to 1773.
Without doubt this cover was circulated before 1773.

FRANQUEADO EN / LAGUNA / DE TERMINOS fancy oval postmark, transit marking YNDIAS applied in Cuba.

Addressed to the King Fernando VII, then a prisoner 
of the French. Also addressed to the General and Special Spanish Parliament (making reference when the 
Spanish Royal Family was kept captive in France).
