RARE

Except for a very few, the envelopes were printed on the rough or wire side of the paper. 
The rough and smooth sides is the result of the paper making process.

Using 1/2r light green (Die I) on cream envelope.

Die I used only for light green color.


GUATEMALA CITY to COSTA RICA                   1876, JANUARY 29
1/2r Green (Die II) on white envelope  uprated with 1875 1/2 real 
blue green  Liberty Head for 1 real outbound rate, 
tied with black numeral “18” postmark.
